As part of making your community “Defib friendly” we recommend a number of training sessions should be held. You could invite various people associated with your community, including:
- Retailers and Traders
- Schools, Colleges and Universities
- Churches and Other Places of Worship
- Sports Clubs
- Hotels and Guesthouses
- Emergency Services
- Tourist Attractions
- Factories and Local Businesses
- Local Councillors
- And many others…
These sessions tend to last no more than one hour and include a short presentation, CPR and defib instruction, a “hands on” practice session, finally tea and biscuits.
Heartbeat Trust will help co-ordinate these sessions with you and use our trusted partners to deliver the content, which include St John and your local Community First Responder teams. We will also issue to each participant a certificate of attendance.
If you like to know when our next training sessions are taking place or you would like to arrange one for your community, please drop us a line via the contact us page.
